Mario Rivas

President and CEO, ANADIGICS, Inc

Mario Rivas is President and Chief Executive Officer of ANADIGICS, Inc. Rivas joined ANADIGICS in February 2009 with 30 years of experience in the semiconductor business, spending most of his career in the wireless industry.

Prior to ANADIGICS, he served as the CEO of Quartics, a fabless semiconductor and software company based in Irving, CA. He also held the position as Executive Vice President of the Computing Group at AMD, where he was responsible for driving the development, strategy and management for AMD's broad portfolio of consumer and commercial microprocessor solutions. Rivas managed the Wireless Communications Business of Philips Semiconductor as well as its foundry operations, purchasing and assembly and test. Rivas spent the majority of his career at Motorola with responsibilities in both semiconductor and wireless communications. He also served as Director on the Board of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporate (TSMC).

Rivas holds an Undergraduate Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Central America in San Salvador. He also holds two Master's Degrees, one in Semiconductor Physics and the second in Management, both from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

   

Thomas C. Shields

Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Thomas Shields is Chief Financial Officer of ANADIGICS, INC. Shields has held this position since August 1999. His financial acumen, strong industry contacts and astute financial leadership has impacted numerous technology, consumer, healthcare, and software companies including ANADIGICS. Through the course of his career, Shields has accumulated more than 25 years of experience in developing and expanding global financial operations, mergers and acquisitions, new business development and manufacturing.

Before joining ANADIGICS, Shields served as Vice President of Finance and Controller at Fischer Scientific Company. Prior to joining Fischer Scientific, he was Vice President and Finance and Controller of Harman Consumer Group, where he led domestic and international operations and financial management. Shields also served as Chief Financial Officer and had full responsibility for P&L and operational performance at Baker & Taylor Software.

Shields holds a B.S. in Accounting and a MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

   

Greg White

Senior Vice President of RF Products

Greg White joined ANADIGICS, Inc in October 2009 as Senior Vice President of RF Products. He brings to the company 15 years of global leadership experience in high technology, with a proven track record for driving results in technology startups, global business development, and forming strategic alliances.

White served as Corporate Vice President and General Manager Desktop and Embedded Division at AMD in Austin,Texas before joining ANADIGICS. Earlier in his career, White served as Senior Director of Operations for the Host Processor Operation at Freescale. He also spent part of his career at Motorola as Vice President and Senior Director of Operations where he launched two new platforms of communication processors directed at the SOHO (small office home office) and ROBO (regional office branch office) networking space. In manufacturing, White played a key role in the successful introduction of integrated FLASH memory into the marketplace, partnering with TSMC and SST to develop the integrated FLASH while at Motorola. He has also been instrumental in several strategic alliances, including driving the Motorola/ARM licensing agreement for the standard controller market.

White holds an Undergraduate Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nebraska and a post-graduate certificate from the Management Institute, University of Texas.

   

Russ Wagner

Vice President of Operations

Russ Wagner is Vice President of Operations of ANADIGICS, Inc, a position he assumed in May 2009. Wagner joined the company in September 2007 as part of the acquisition of the Fairchild RF Team. In 2007, he headed the Tyngsboro Design Center; in June 2008, he moved to ANADIGICS’ Corporate Headquarters in Warren, NJ to lead the company’s logistics and planning organizations. In a short time, Wagner has made a significant impact on operational excellence and in developing and implementing the company’s hybrid manufacturing strategy.

Wagner brings more than 25 years of extensive industry experience to ANADIGICS. His previous positions include Vice President of Business and Strategic Development at Raytheon RF Components; Vice President of Finance and Corporate Development of Litton Systems Inc.’s Airtron Division, and CFO, Business Unit General Manager and Member of the Board of Directors at Laser Diode Inc. At both Fairchild and Raytheon RF Components, Wagner drove both the strategic and tactical management of operations, foundries and world-class supply chain management.

Wagner holds a B.S. degree from the University of Dayton and has pursued post graduate work at the Wharton School of Business at University of Pennsylvania and the University of Chicago.

   

Michael Canonico

Vice President Worldwide Sales

Michael Canonico is Vice President of Worldwide Sales at ANADIGICS, Inc, a position he has held since April 2009. He first joined ANADIGICS in October 2006 as Director of Sales for the Wireless Business Unit. As such, Mike was responsible for implementing strategic customer programs for wireless customers around the globe. In 2009, he was promoted to his current role, where he has brought together two sales teams across businesses to build a strong global sales team around the world.

Canonico brings to ANADIGICS over 20 years of experiences at companies including Cypress Semiconductor, Hitachi Semiconductor, Agere, Optium, Communicant Semiconductor, and Enpirion.

Canonico holds a BSEE from Wilkes University.

   

Ron Michels

Senior Vice President, Chief Technology and Strategy Officer

Ron Michels is the Senior Vice President, Chief Technology and Strategy Officer, responsible for technology and development, and strategic business development for ANADIGICS.

Michels joined ANADIGICS in 1987 as a design engineer and has served in several management and executive positions during that time. Prior to joining ANADIGICS, he held various engineering and management positions in Lockheed Electronics, New Jersey Public Broadcasting, and K & M Broadcasting.

Michels earned his Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He holds several US Patents, has authored a number of publications in the area of RF communications and serves on the Lehigh Electrical & Computer Engineering Advisory Board.

 
   

Gerry Groundwater

Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Gerry Groundwater is Vice President and Chief Information Officer of ANADIGICS. Groundwater joined the company in March 1998 and was quickly promoted to CIO, a position which he has held since December 2000.

Groundwater has 25 years of extensive experience in managing IT systems and operations for manufacturing facilities, including the development and implementation of production floor automation systems. Prior to joining ANADIGICS, Groundwater was Head of Information Systems for National Semiconductor Ltd. in Greenock, Scotland, responsible for the plant's information technology requirements. Reporting to the Managing Director, he was responsible for all IT including systems development, support, and data center operations which were in operation 24 hours a day. Previously Groundwater served as Program Director for National Australia Group (UK) Services Division in Glasgow, Scotland and Senior IT Manager for Sun Microsystems, Linlithgow. At Sun, he was part of a core team establishing SUN’s manufacturing plant in Scotland. Prior to that, Groundwater had a role in business development as part of a manufacturing automation start up venture within Honeywell.

Groundwater holds a B.S. of Computer Science degree from Paisley University and an HNC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bell College. In addition, he is a full member of the British Computer Society and a Chartered Engineer

   

Brad Yates

Vice President, Human Resources

Brad Yates is Vice President of Human Resources for ANADIGICS, Inc. He joined the Company in April 2010, bringing a wealth of experience in high technology and human resources. Throughout his career Yates has held many roles directing all facets of human resources management, including HR strategy and organization development, workforce planning and talent acquisition, talent management, performance management and reward systems, as well as mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to joining ANADIGICS, Yates was the founder, owner, and chief consultant for Prosperitas, an HR consulting firm. In this role, he assisted company leadership teams with a host of business strategies ranging from talent management to organizational change management efforts as well as developing and implementing associated HR process and programs solutions, staffing capabilities, and human resource process support technology. Yates has also held various high-level management positions with AMI Semiconductors, Mindspeed Technologies, Conexant Systems, Siebel Systems and AT&T.

Yates holds a M.S in Interdisciplinary studies from the University of Dayton and a B.S in Business Administration from San Diego State University.
